Bankrolled by noted Kannada actor-director-screenwriter Raj B Shetty under his production house Lighter Buddha Films, Su From So marks the directorial debut of J.P. Thuminad. The movie features Shanil Gautham as 'Ravi', Thuminad as 'Ashoka', Prakash Thuminad as 'Chandra', Deepak Rai Panaje as 'Sathisha', Mime Ramadas as 'Yadhu' and Sandhya Arekere as 'Bhanu' among others.

Set against the backdrop of a scenic coastal region, Su From So showcases Ravi Anna (Shanil Gautham) and his community living ordinary lives-until odd knocks echo at night, triggering panic among villagers. Soon, rumors of a ghost named Sulochana from Someshwar take over, leading to hilarious chaos. Ravi, his friends, and the whole village band together to conduct exorcisms, perform rituals, and confront their fears-all while keeping a comic, rustic charm alive. As paranoia and superstition grow, so do attempts at sanity and slapstick panic.

Amidst strong pre-release buzz, the Kannada film is slated to hit cinemas this Friday (July 25, 2025).

Ahead of its grand theatrical release on July 25, the makers have organized promotional premieres (paid) across Karnataka. The campaign kicked off yesterday (July 21) in Mangalore, and the film received rave reactions from the audience.

In one of the videos, shared by Raj Shetty on Instagram, going viral on the internet, one of the fans called 'Su From So' a "must watch", while another moviegoer dubbed it "full entertainment package".
