UI World Television Premiere Date And Time: Here's When And Where To Watch Upendra's Movie

UI World Television Premiere: The much-awaited Kannada sci-fi dystopian action film UI, directed by Upendra, is all set to make its world television premiere. The film, which hit theaters on December 20, 2024, will now be available for audiences to watch from the comfort of their homes. Fans who missed its theatrical release or are eager to rewatch the film can tune in to Zee Kannada on March 30 at 4:30 p.m.

Unlike most films that first make their way to streaming platforms after theatrical runs, UI has opted for a direct television release without an OTT debut.

UI Premise

UI is set in a dystopian world and follows the intense psychological battle between Sathya and Kalki. The film delves into themes of power, knowledge, and technological advancements that, when misused, can lead to devastating consequences for humanity and the planet.

UI Cast And Crew

Upendra takes on a triple role in UI, portraying Sathya, Kalki, and himself. Reeshma Nanaiah plays Nandini, while Sadhu Kokila appears as Joker, a clown in town. The cast also includes Vinayak Trivedi, Murali Sharma as Kiran Adarsh, a film analyst and trade expert inspired by Taran Adarsh, and Indrajit Lankesh. Nidhi Subbaiah, Om Sai Prakash, Guruprasad, and P. Ravi Shankar as Vaamana Rao are also part of the ensemble. Additionally, Achyuth Kumar, Hamsa Prathap, Neetu, and Lasya Nagraj feature in key roles.

UI was backed by Lahari Films and Venus Entertainers, with G Manoharan and Sreekanth KP serving as producers and Naveen Manoharan as the co-producer. The executive production team included G Thulasiram (Lahari Velu), G Ramesh, G Anand, Chandru Manoharan, and Nagendra. H.C. Venu handled the cinematography, while B Ajaneesh Loknath composed the music. The film's editing was done by Vijay Raj BG, with Shivakumar J as the art director. Action sequences were choreographed by Thriller Manju, Ravi Varma, and Chethan D'souza, while Chinni Prakash and Imran Sardariya oversaw the choreography. M N Krishna Lekhana worked as the co-director, with Vivek Datta and Prashanth A.P as associate directors. VFX supervision was led by Nirmal Kumar (Radiance Fx), and Ashik Kusugolli worked as the colorist. The sound design was handled by VG Rajen, with L. Satish Kumar as the Dolby Atmos engineer.

The direction team included Vedika, Manoj Das, Kishore Krishnamurthy, Sai Charan C Rai, Pardha Saradhi M, and Abhijna R.N. Production in charge was Satish Kumar Billadi, with Kiran and Anil managing production. Bharath Sagar and Varshini Janakiram designed the costumes, with Narayan managing company costumes. Art associates included Kiran Ajay Kumar, Manu Prasad, and Sunil Nandagudi. The film's distribution was managed by KVN Productions (Kannada), Geetha Film Distribution (Telugu), Zee Studios (Hindi), and AP International Films (Tamil and Malayalam). Publicity and marketing were handled by Puneeth Kumar and Walls & Trends, with publicity designs by Kaani Studio. Sound effects were designed by Arun S Mani at Oli Sound Labs, Chennai.

The sound editing team included Arun S Mani, Srihari BR, Sahil Kandasamy, Raju Albert, and Rahul John Cyriac. SP Narayanan supervised foley, with Raj Mohan as the foley artist and Karthick Muniyandi as the foley recordist at Sound Plant Studios, Chennai. Audiography was done by M R Rajakrishnan, with premix engineers including SP Narayanan, Biju Basil, Goutham M, Goutham G, Hebin Benny, Parvathi AG, and Aneesh Gangadharan. The mixing was completed at Four Frames, Chennai, with Dolby Atmos mixing also done at the same facility.
