As BBK 12 is ending tonight with a star-studded finale, we thought of revisiting the winner, runner-up and winner prize money of the seasons (1-11).

The show started in Kannada on 24 March 2013 with host Sudeepa in Lonavala, airing on ETV Kannada, and across 99 episodes and 98 days the first season crowns Vijay Raghavendra as winner and Arun Sagar as runner-up, setting the format that later seasons keep with a large cast and a high-value cash prize.

While Ashwini Gowda and Rakshitha Shetty were strong contenders for the Bigg Boss Kannada 12 winner's trophy, they were not able to garner the required votes on JioHotstar.

Later seasons keep a similar structure, with season 4 on Colors Kannada running from 9 October 2016 to 29 January 2017 across 113 episodes and 112 days, where Pratham wins and Kirik Keerthi finishes second, while season 5 on Colors Super between 15 October 2017 and 28 January 2018 spans 106 episodes and 105 days, crowning Chandan Shetty and placing Divakar as runner-up.

Season 6, also on Colors Super, takes place between 21 October 2018 and 27 January 2019 with 99 episodes and 98 days, featuring 20 contestants and ending with Shashi Kumar as winner and Naveen Sajju as runner-up, and season 7 returns to Colors Kannada from 13 October 2019 to 2 February 2020 over 113 episodes and 112 days, with a 20-member cast, where Shine Shetty wins ahead of runner-up Kuri Pratap.

Season 8 is notable because the telecast splits into two parts, first running 71 days from 28 February 2021 to 9 May 2021 and then resuming for 46 more episodes between 23 June 2021 and 8 August 2021, during which 20 housemates compete over 118 episodes plus the resumed run, finally ending with Manju Pavagada as winner and Aravind KP as runner-up.

The ninth season aired on Colors Kannada from 24 September 2022 to 31 December 2022 with 98 episodes and equal calendar days, including 18 contestants and ending with Roopesh Shetty as champion and Rakesh Adiga as runner-up, while season 10, airing between 8 October 2023 and 28 January 2024 over 112 episodes and 111 days with 19 housemates, announced Karthik Mahesh as winner and Drone Prathap as runner-up for the same ₹50 lakh reward.

The eleventh season, running on Colors Kannada from 29 September 2024 to 26 January 2025, stretched across 120 episodes and 119 days with 20 contestants. Hanumantha Lamani lifted the trophy while Trivikram finished as runner-up, continuing the pattern of stable prize money and long-format entertainment for Bigg Boss Kannada viewers.
