Darshan And Vijayalakshmi's Wedding Anniversary: Actor's Wife Shares Emotional Posts Amid Jail Visit Reports

Darshan And Vijayalakshmi's Wedding Anniversary: Kannada actor Darshan and his wife Vijayalakshmi marked their 23rd wedding anniversary on May 19 under difficult circumstances, as the actor continues to remain lodged in Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. The occasion drew attention online after Vijayalakshmi shared personal photos and an emotional message on Instagram, prompting reactions from fans and followers.

Darshan s Wife Shares Emotional Post On Anniversary

On Monday, Vijayalakshmi posted a photograph of herself and Darshan together, along with another image on her Instagram story showing the couple holding hands. The story carried a message that read: "I will hold your hand through every storm and every silence. Even when situations try to pull us apart, my heart will always choose you... And even if the whole world stands against you, I'll still stand beside you, choosing you through it all."

The posts soon began circulating widely on social media, with several fans sharing anniversary wishes for the couple.

According to reports, Vijayalakshmi had approached prison authorities seeking special permission to meet Darshan inside the prison on the occasion of their wedding anniversary. Reports also suggested that she personally met the Director General of Prisons regarding the request. However, prison visits are subject to regulations and approvals are granted on a case-by-case basis.

There were also unconfirmed reports circulating on Monday that Darshan had been granted permission to meet his wife and son Vineesh for around 30 minutes inside the prison premises. An official confirmation on the meeting, however, was still awaited at the time of writing.

Darshan and Vijayalakshmi got married on May 19, 2003, at Vasantha Mahal in Dharmasthala in a relatively simple ceremony. The couple later welcomed their son Vineesh.

Rumours Around Darshan Dismissed By Prison Officials

The anniversary comes a day after rumours regarding an alleged suicide attempt by Darshan inside Parappana Agrahara prison triggered tension outside the jail premises. As reported by Deccan Herald on May 18, prison officials dismissed the claims as baseless rumours. DGP of Prisons Alok Kumar also issued a clarification stating that the actor was "doing fine" and urged the public not to believe unverified information.

Darshan was arrested in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case and had earlier secured bail before it was later cancelled by the Supreme Court. The actor remains in judicial custody as legal proceedings in the case continue.
