Jayamma Chinnegowda Passes Away: Jayamma Chinnegowda, a noted figure in the Kannada film industry and the mother of actors Vijay Raghavendra and Sriimurali, passed away on Tuesday following health complications linked to age-related ailments. Her death has brought condolences from members of the Kannada film fraternity and well-wishers across Karnataka.

According to a report published by Kannada Asianet News, Jayamma Chinnegowda had been undergoing treatment in a hospital after experiencing a decline in her health in recent days. Despite medical care, she reportedly did not recover and breathed her last on June 16.
A Life Connected to Kannada Cinema and Its Icons
Jayamma was associated with Kannada cinema not only through her family but also through her own contributions to the industry. Over the years, she was involved in film production and was known within Sandalwood circles for her work behind the scenes. Among the films linked to her production career were Sevanthi Sevanthi (2006) and Ganesha Matthe Banda (2008), projects that added to her presence in Kannada cinema.
She was the wife of veteran producer and distributor S. A. Chinnegowda, a well-known name in the Kannada film industry. Together, the family maintained a long-standing connection with Sandalwood, spanning multiple generations. The family also shares close ties with the family of legendary Kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar. Jayamma Chinnegowda was connected to the Rajkumar family through her husband, S. A. Chinnegowda, whose sister Parvathamma Rajkumar was married to the late actor.
Her sons, Vijay Raghavendra and Sriimurali, have each established successful careers in Kannada cinema. Vijay Raghavendra is known for his work across films and television, while Sriimurali has built a strong following through several commercially successful movies.
