Toxic Reveal: The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have unveiled the character of lead actor Yash through a dedicated character reveal video released today, January 8, coinciding with the actor's 40th birthday. The 2-minute-51-second video introduces Yash's character, Raya.

Rather than functioning as a conventional teaser, the newly released video focuses specifically on Raya without revealing broader plot details. The makers had earlier indicated that the release would be a "reveal," and the video aligns with that description by centering entirely on Yash's character.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is positioned as a period gangster film and has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. The project is jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Ugadi festival.

Earlier Character Introductions And Key Technical Details

In the months leading up to the reveal of Raya, the production team released individual character posters introducing the film's female cast. Rukmini Vasanth was introduced as Mellisa, Tara Sutaria as Rebecca, Nayanthara as Ganga, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, and Kiara Advani as Nadia. While these posters offered a visual introduction to the characters, the makers have so far kept narrative specifics under wraps.

From a technical standpoint, the film brings together cinematographer Rajeev Ravi and music composer Ravi Basrur, with editing by Ujwal Kulkarni. Action sequences are being handled by an international and Indian team that includes J. J. Perry and Kecha Khamphakdee, among others. Visual effects for the film are being produced by DNEG.
