Valavaara OTT Release: Valavaara, the Kannada coming-of-age drama directed by debutant filmmaker Sutan Gowda, is set to reach a wider audience following its theatrical release in January. The film, which hit cinemas on January 30, brings together a cast led by child actors Master Vedik Kaushal and Master Shayan, along with Abhay, Malathesh, and Harshitha Gowda.

Set against the lush backdrop of Sakleshpur in Karnataka, Valavaara explores themes of family, responsibility, and sibling relationships. The story centres on Kundeshi, a young boy from a farming household, whose life takes an unexpected turn when a cow goes missing. What begins as a simple search gradually unfolds into a journey shaped by sibling dynamics, rivalry, and the realities of rural life.

The narrative places a strong emphasis on the bond between two brothers, using their interactions to examine feelings of perceived favouritism within families. Director Sutan Gowda, who draws from his own experiences growing up in Sakleshpur, builds the story around everyday moments and relationships.

Before its release, the project had drawn attention for its background and making. Sutan Gowda, who spent over a decade working in the industry in various capacities, developed Valavaara with a focus on authenticity. The film features largely fresh faces and incorporates the local dialect of Sakleshpur to maintain a sense of realism.

The film's technical team includes cinematographer Balaraj Gowda and composer Kadri Manikanth, who has handled the music and background score. Editing has been done by Srikanth SH, while the sound design is credited to V. J. Rajen. The project is produced by J. Giridhar and Anirudh Goutham, with Sahana Nagaraj and Sanya Arora serving as co-producers.

Following its theatrical run, Valavaara is now gearing up for its digital debut. The film will be available for streaming on Sun NXT from March 20. The OTT release is expected to introduce the film to audiences who may have missed it in theatres, especially outside Karnataka.
