Krishi Thapanda Friend Death: The death of businessman Vaishak Upadhyay, who was found dead in a Bengaluru apartment linked to Kannada actress Krishi Thapanda, has drawn significant public attention, with the ongoing police investigation continuing to generate fresh developments. The report said she told police that she had been staying at a meditation centre for three days when Vaishak informed her that he intended to end his life. According to Tamil Oneindia, Krishi told police that Vaishak had a spare key to her apartment, which he used to enter the flat. By the time she reached home, she allegedly found him hanging from the ceiling fan in her bedroom using a saree. She reportedly told police that she cut the saree to bring the body down before informing both the police and Vaishak's family.

Tamil Oneindia further reported that police examined Krishi's mobile phone, including her call records, text messages and WhatsApp conversations, as part of the preliminary investigation. According to the report, investigators did not find any suspicious material during the examination and later returned her phone.

Meanwhile, the investigation has taken another turn. According to Cinema Express, Vaishak's wife Meghna has filed a formal police complaint seeking a more detailed probe into the circumstances surrounding her husband's death. The publication reported that she has requested investigators to examine every aspect of the case before reaching any conclusion, while raising questions about the sequence of events leading up to his death.

Cinema Express also reported that police continue to reconstruct the timeline by analysing forensic evidence, digital records and witness statements. As of now, authorities have not announced any evidence indicating criminal involvement by any individual, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Who is Krishi Thapanda?

Krishi Thapanda is a Kannada actress and model who entered the entertainment industry after being crowned Miss Karnataka in 2014. Originally from Kodagu (Coorg), she belongs to a Kodava family and began her professional career outside cinema before moving into films.

Before acting, she worked as an assistant manager at InterCall, an international audio conferencing company. While working there, she was offered the Kannada film Kahi, marking the beginning of her acting career.

Although she started shooting for Kahi first, her first release was the 2016 Kannada film Akira, in which she played the character Lavanya.
