The
recently-released
Upendra
starrer
Anatharu
was
a
remake
of
the
Tamil
film,
Pithamagan.
Krishna,
again
a
Kannada
remake,
is
based
on
the
Tamil
film
Unnai
Ninaithu
starring
Suriya,
Sneha
and
Laila,
though
the
director
has
added
the
local
flavour.
Who,
other
than
Ganesh,
can
play
the
role
of
a
TV
anchor
better?
Yes,
in
Krishna,
Ganesh
plays
the
role
of
a
TV
anchor
named
Krishna,
hosting
a
chat
show
talking
to
callers
in
a
very
jovial
manner,
making
them
happy.
A
girl-next-door
named
Preethi
(Pooja
Gandhi)
loves
Krishna
a
lot
and
also
talks
to
him
during
his
shows
without
disclosing
her
name.
She
is
the
daughter
of
Krishna's
landlord.
One
fine
day,
she
proposes
to
Krishna,
expressing
her
love
for
him.
Krishna
then
reveals
his
past
to
her.
He
was
in
love
with
a
poor
girl,
Anjali
(Sharmila
Mandre)
who
had
a
handicapped
sister
and
wanted
to
become
a
doctor.
However,
her
poor
parents
were
unable
to
fulfill
her
dreams.
Krishna
lent
a
helping
hand
to
the
family,
but
when
he
moved
out
of
the
city
for
some
time,
a
rich
man
proposed
to
Anjali
and
promised
to
help
her
family.
Forced
by
family
situations,
Anjali
decided
to
marry
the
rich
man.
On
his
return,
Krishna
was
hurt
by
Anjali's
betrayal.
On
the
other
side,
the
rich
man
betrayed
Anjali
and
her
family.
Krishna
again
came
to
the
rescue
of
Anjali
and
helped
her
complete
her
studies.
He
even
sold
the
land
on
which
his
mother's
samidhi
was
built
for
this
purpose.
Preethi
is
still
hopeful
that
she
will
marry
Krishna.
Anjali,
after
the
successful
completion
of
her
studies,
proposes
to
Krishna.
Will
Krishna
marry
Preethy
or
Anjali?
This
forms
the
climax.
Ganesh
gives
a
stunning
performance
with
excellent
dialogue
delivery
as
he
did
in
his
blockbuster
movie,
Mungaru
Male.
.
This
is
Ganesh's
fifth
movie
and
he
entices
the
audiences
with
the
same
charm
we
saw
in
Mungaru
Male.
Pooja
Gandhi
has
worked
with
Ganesh
in
Mungaru
Male
and
has
done
a
splendid
in
this
film
as
well.
Sharmila
has
also
done
a
good
job.
Cinematography
by
Shekar
Chandra
is
excellent.
Music
by
V.
Harikrishna
is
just
average.
His
music
for
the
films
Jyothe
Jyotheyalli
and
Sneha
Preethinna
were
wonderful
but
he
fails
to
give
better
numbers
for
this
film.
The
movie,
based
is
on
a
simple
story
with
a
good
narration
and
excellent
dialogues
by
B.A.Madhu,
defies
logic
at
some
places.
