When the songs of "Orata I Love You' were telecasted in the television channels many Kannada film fans were really surprised about the quality of the songs and the picturisation. "Orata I Love you' was a film which was made a group of young freshers who really meant business. The film is really a testimony of their skills and efforts and certainly this attempt comes as a breath of fresh air in the Kannada film industry. See the list of people associated with this film. Manohar, an enterprising successful floriculturist and a budding politician is the producer. Sree the director had worked as an associate with an unproven director. Wrtier and co-director Anil was a dreamer who wanted to come up in the industry. Prashanth and Sowmya were all new faces with little experience, but lot of self confidence. The self confidence of the entire team is visible throughout the film. And the entire team has really given their best shot throughout the film.

The story of the film as such is not that we have seen earlier. A street rowdy Varada and his gang is being used for all types of work by a politician. And there is another gang headed by Shobhi which is in loggerheads with Varada's gang. Varada comes across a college girl Kavya and saves her in some difficult situations. At one point Varada realises that he has fallen for her, but he will not be able to reveal it. Kavya also saves Varada once but gets injured. Slowly she also realises the true love of Varada. Later the politician wants to play traunt and pits Varada against his opponent. But with many twists and turns later An Injured Varada is united with Kavya who has by then lost mental balance.

This story has been told in an interesting manner by Sreenivas. The music by debutant music director B.R.Shankar is the highlight of the film and the picturisation of the Mumaith Item number and Yaaro Song are top class

Youngster Prashanth and Sowmya have proved their class in their first film in leading roles. Prashanth could have tried to curtail his mannerisms in the film. Avinash, Sathyajith, Shobharaj have all played their roles with ease.

Watch Orata. You would love it. The music will haunt you even after you come out of the theatre.
