Sajni, directed by Murugesh is a complete family entertainer. It revolves around the love story of a young girl, Sajni (Sharmila) and a young boy, Vikram (Dhaan). Both hail from different family backgrounds. Sajni is the beautiful and talented daughter of a very rich industrialist from Bangalore while Vikram is a smart, charismatic young man, the son of a Registrar from Mysore. Both move to Lawrence College, London for their studies, which marks the beginning of their relationship having all ups and downs. As both are determined and focused in their deeds and believe only in victory, they keep fighting on small issues. Their fight at times becomes so intense that they start hating each other.

They come together during a college trip where Vikram saves Sajni from a mishap which brings a twist in the story. Love blossoms in both hearts and they decide to get married. Realizing the fact that they hail from different family backgrounds and that their parents will not accept their love, they devise a plan to convince each other's parents.

Both decide to go to each other's house and win over the trust of each other's family. So Sajni goes to Vikram's house to prove herself as a good girl to Vikram's father (Avinash) and his family, while Vikram makes an entry into Sajni's father's (Ananthnag) office. He tries every possible strategem that will please Sajni's father. Things seem to move according to their plans until Sajni's father decides to get her daughter married to another guy, Kailash. This brings a turning point in the story. Watch the movie to find out what happens next.

Dhyaan as Vikram has given a stunning performance. Though Sharmila is making her debut with this movie, she has delivered a very good performance and shows prospects for a bright future. Cinematography by Rangaswamy brings in some breathtaking locales of London. Ananthnag, Avinash and Shivaram have done their job well. Music, scored by A.R. Rahman, bears some resemblance with the tunes of the Tamil film, Jodi.
