Darshan-starrer
Gaja,
directed
by
debutante
Madesha,
is
a
full-time
entertainer
with
the
right
mix
of
comedy,
action
and
sentiments.
Though
the
director
claims
that
it
is
not
a
remake
of
the
Telugu
film
Bhadra
and
is
based
on
a
Telugu
novel,
it
does
have
shades
of
Bhadra.
Darshan
plays
the
title
role
of
Gaja,
a
close
friend
of
Krishna.
He
accompanies
his
friend
Krishna
on
his
trip
to
his
home
in
a
village.
Gaja's
arrival
is
appreciated
by
all
the
family
members
due
to
his
polite
and
friendly
nature.
Gaja
falls
in
love
with
Krishna's
sister,
Shwetha
(Navya
Nair).
With
a
series
of
events
that
take
place
in
the
village,
Gaja
finds
that
Krishna's
brother
Davendra
is
being
chased
by
a
rival
leader.
The
rival
leader
kills
Devendra
and
his
wife.
In
order
to
save
Krishna
and
Shwetha's
life,
Gaja
decides
to
take
them
away
from
the
village.
While
they
try
to
escape
from
the
village,
Krishna
gets
killed
by
the
rival
gang.
In
anger,
Gaja
kills
the
rival
leader's
brother
and
manages
to
escape
from
the
village
along
with
Shwetha.
He
takes
Shwetha
to
his
house
where
everyone
greets
her
with
love.
Shwetha
has
to
go
abroad
for
her
studies
but
the
rival
gang
is
in
search
of
Shwetha
and
Gaja
as
he
had
killed
the
rival
gang
leader's
brother.
Will
Gaja
be
able
to
save
Shwetha?
Director
Madesh
has
done
a
splendid
job
with
his
first
film.
Darshan
has
given
yet
another
scintillating
performance
with
lots
of
charisma.
He
looks
good
in
the
songs
and
has
delivered
a
power-packed
performance
when
it
comes
to
the
action
sequences.
Malayalam
beauty
Navya
Nair
steals
the
show
and
looks
gorgeous
with
her
superb
smile.
Ekta
Khosla
does
her
role
with
perfection.
Komal
and
Master
Hiranniah
add
to
the
comic
elements
of
the
film.
Devaraj,
Subbaraj
and
Rawat
have
done
their
job
well.
Harikrishna
gives
some
melodious
songs.
'Aithalakadi',
'Lambooji
Lambooji'
and
'Maathu
Nannulo'
are
the
best
tracks
of
the
enterprise.
