Taj Mahal - Review

Still from Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is certainly an outstanding film from a debutant director Chandru. The way Chandru has handled this sensitive and challenging subject gives you an impression that he has already worked in many top class films. But the fact is that Chandru has struggled to create a perfect script for his first venture. The result is that the film is one of the best seen in recent times.

Taj Mahal stands out because of some marvellous performances from all the artistes and excellent technical work by young technicians. It is a thoroughly well made film and is a classic presentation by debutant director Chandru. You would be missing something if you don't see it. Ajay and Pooja Gandhi's performance is bound to go well with lot of younger audience.

Taj Mahal was much awaited by many Kannada film fans after the songs had become hugely popular. The film stands to the expectations it had raised before the release. The film is certainly a very well made film that strikes with its beautiful visuals and a message oriented narration. The film makes you to think a little even after you come out of the theatre and that is precisely the major plus point of the film.

And with a Superb handling of a subject that has a very thin story line, director Chandru has shown that he has loads of talent to go up in the ladder. His efforts to the making of the film become clear from the first sequence of the film. His attempts to give a new look to hero Ajay, the selection of costumes and the selection of out door spots for some important sequences of the film bears testimony to his skills as a director. And he has been able to get the best performance from even artists who are seen even in one sequence of the film.

Ajay proves that he is a very good actor and his talents should be properly utilized in future. Pooja Gandhi looks ravishing with her looks and is exceptional in acting. All the artists have stood up the requirement of the roles.

Kushiyaagidhe song is the pick of the lot and music director Abhiman will become busy in future. Chandrashekhar is outstanding behind the camera.

Taj Mahal is a sure hit and a brilliant film.
