Jaji Mallige Review

By By: Shekhar H Hooli

Actor Ajay Rao made his debut through the movie Taj Mahal, which turned a big hit movie at the Box Office. Now he has come out with a love problem, which is sorted out totally different way in the movie Jaji Mallige. But this time, his emotionless performance bores the audience.

Directed by Anantha Raju, Jaji Mallige is a remake of Tamil hit Devatheya Kanden starring Dhanush and Sridevi. The movie features actress Gauri Munjal alongside Ajay Rao. Although the movie deals with love story of a Chayawala, it has got a kind of freshness in its depiction. A consumer can appeal court if he is not satisfied with a particular goods. In the same manner the movie has got a different scene. Here a lover appeals the court, when his girlfriends dumps him. The climax scene is very interesting and it makes the audiences sit tightly holding their breath.

Ramu (Ajay Rao) sells tea near a college, where Uma (Gauri Munjal) is studying. She falls in love with him. She promises to marry him. But her parents fix her marriage with a doctor and they force her to marry him. When she gets to ready marry him, Ramu appeals to the court for justice. What happens in the court will form the climax.

The climax is wonderful scene in the movie. Ajay rocks the scene. He has failed in dialogue delivery and also in sentimental scenes, but Komal's comedy compensates his weakness here and there. But he has done an excellent job in the fighting scene.

Director Anantha Raju has done nothing but honestly copying the original. He has hardly brought any innovation in the movie. But the dialogues written by him attract the audience here and there.

Although two tunes are taken from the original movie in Tamil, Sadhu Kokila's music enthralls the audiences. Komal, Bullet Prakash and Nagshekhar's comedy is another plus point of movie and it helps to run the tempo smoothly.

Actress Gauri Munjal lures the audiences in glamour scenes, but fails in acting. She needs to improve a lot.

Finally it can be said that Jaji Mallige is another remake without any innovation. People, who are interested in love story, must see this movie.
