Jaggesh's
Bodyguard
is
a
remake
of
the
Malayalam
blockbuster
of
the
same
name.
The
action-comedy
film
starring
Jaggesh
is
a
decent
entertainer.
Except
some
minor
errors,
the
film
has
turned
out
to
be
a
'paisa-vassol'
outing
for
the
actor's
fans.

the
review.
Jayakrishna
(Jaggesh)
saves
Ashokanna's
(Guru
Dutt)
family,
when
they
were
being
attacked
by
one
of
the
latter's
rivals.
This
makes
Ashokanna
to
appoint
Jayakrishna,
as
his
daughter
Ammu's
(Daisy
Shah)
bodyguard.
But
Ammu
is
not
happy
simply
because
of
his
over-concerned
attitude
towards
her.
In
a
bid
to
safeguard
her
life,
he
accompanies
her
everywhere
from
classroom
till
bedroom
thereby
creating
some
strange
moments
for
her.
To
divert
his
attention
from
her,
she
starts
flirting
with
him
through
an
anonymous
number
to
make
him
to
fall
in
love.
As
expected,
she
herself
starts
liking
him
but
refrains
from
revealing
to
Jayakrishna
that
she's
her
secret
caller.
What
happens
then
is
the
interesting
part
of
the
Bodyguard
story.
The
plot
of
Bodyguard
is
more
of
a
love
story
than
an
action
film.
It
is
because
the
major
part
of
the
runtime
will
have
light-hearted
moments
until
baddies
suddenly
emerge
in
the
climax.
Jaggesh
shines
in
the
role
of
a
bodyguard.
But
for
those,
who
have
seen
other
versions,
he
seems
to
be
miscast
for
the
lead
character.
Nonetheless,
he
has
justified
his
character.
Female
leads
Daisy
Shah,
Spoorthi
have
failed
to
impress
the
audience.
In
fact,
their
dull
appeals
in
the
film
are
the
biggest
drawbacks
of
the
movie.
Comedian
Sadhu
Kokila
is
good
and
rest
other
characters
are
okay.
Director
TA
Anand
has
allowed
himself
to
make
quite
a
few
mistakes
in
the
script.
The
lack
of
powerful
scenes
might
cost
big
time
for
the
movie.
In
fact,
he
has
also
failed
to
take
best
out
from
his
technicians
like
music
director
Vinaychandra
and
Ashok
V
Ramans's
cinematography.
The
bottom
line
is
Kannada
movie
Bodyguard
is
only
for
Jaggesh's
fans.
