Sai Kumar's Police Story was released in 1996 and its huge success had made the producers dub it into Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. But its sequel Police Story 2, which was released after 11 years in 2007, was a flop movie at the Box Office. Now its second sequel Police Story 3 has been made in a short span of time to create a Guinness record. When compared to the first sequel, this film seems to have gone down further in its quality.
Police Story 3 is an action thriller and it has a good storyline. Sudeep's energetic performance and dialogue delivery are major attractions of the film. But it is sad to say that the film suffers badly in its production values. It seems that the producer's interest was to set a record in Guinness and Limca books, but not to create a quality movie.
Vijay (Thriller Manju) is an honest police officer and he is assigned the job of stopping the illegal activities of dreaded don MK (Satyaprakash). In a bid to end the mafia, he trains four undertrials to take on MK. After a series of attacks on the police, Sudeep enters the scene to combat MK. What happens next should be watched on the screen.
Kicha Sudeep's performance is the only saving grace of the movie Police Story 3. He rocks the screen with his electrifying action and dialogue delivery. Satyaprakash and Surya have also delivered wonderful performances. Thriller Manju completes 25 years in the industry this year. So it was expected that he would deliver a wonderful contribution on this occasion. But he has utterly failed both in acting and direction.
However, there is nothing to boast about in the technical front. Six ace cinematographers have handled the work of camera. From their work, it is clear that each one of them was given a portion of the film to complete in a very short time and they have done it without minding the quality. Anyway, Police Story 3 has been basically made for record and it does not matter even if you do not watch the movie.
