The much anticipated movie Brindavana received a grand opening all over the state. The movie is the remake of Telugu Blockbuster Brindavanam, which had NTR Junior in the lead role.
After Gaja (2008), the combination of Darshan, director K Madesha and producer Suresh Gowdru is back with another action and family entertainer Brindavana.
Brindavana deals with the story of a multi-millionaire's son Krishna (Darshan), who helps love-birds in overcoming obstacles in their marriage. Krishna's love interest Madhu (Milana Nagaraj) asks him to help her close friend Bhoomi (Karthika Nair), by acting as her boyfriend and help her to get away from the wedding that she doesn't like.
Krishna, who goes to the village with Bhoomi, pretending as her boyfriend, will learn about everyone in her family. In the course of time, he also lock horns with Bhoomi's cousin, Ajay, who wanted to get married to her. How Krishna overcomes all these obstacles? Will he be successful in solving Bhoomi's problem? By seeing Krishna's lovely nature, Bhoomi unexpectedly falls in love with him. He also unites Bhoomi's family, which will be separated twenty five years ago, and becomes very close to her family.
Darshan has done a good job. His role is no where influenced by NTR Junior in Brindavanam. He also entertains audience with the daredevil stunts, which is well accepted by native audience.
Both Karthika Nair and Milana Nagraj seems to be more like a friend for Darshan. There is a lot of difference for playing a friend role and a girlfriend's role. In short, there is lack of chemistry between the lead pair. Acting by both actresses is average.
Sarath Babu, Sampath Raj, veteran actress Geetha, Saikumar, Nirosha, Doddana, Sangeetha and Jai Jagadeesh who are seen is supporting roles have done a good job.
Comedy is the main highlight of the movie. Sadhu Kokilla and Prathap's comedy timings is good. Comedy in the first half is handled by Pratap, where he becomes the culprit for all the pranks played by Krishna. Sadhu Kokilla, who acts as Darshan's father, is successful in making audience laugh.
Usually, Darshan's movies stunt is choregraphed by Ravi Varma. But this time, Ravi is replaced by Palaniraj, who has proved himself successful enough to satisfy audience by the composing different fights.
Songs have mind blowing locations in the backdrop. Cinematographer Ramesh Babu has shown each and every corner of the world. He has shot the movie from Mysore to Malaysia.
The master of music V Harikrishna has composed songs of all genres. He is also successful in scoring the thrilling background score. 'Naanu Kannadiga' will be played by native audience in Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations.
K Madesh has completely worked on the script to give a different screenplay, without any influence of original (Brindavanam), to suit the native audience.
After Sarathee, Bulbul, this is another action packed and family entertainer by challenging star. It is a must watch movie if you are a Darshan's fan.
