Jayammana Maga Review
Duniya Vijay's last movie Rajinikantha did not live up to the audience expectations. Though his performance in the movie was praised to heavens, the film failed to impress the cine-goers. On the other end, his personal crisis over marriage has not helped the cause.
Now, Duniya Vijay is game with his next movie Jayammana Maga, which is very crucial for him. It is also his first maiden production and this factor has made him deliver a hit at any cost. Duniya Vijay has opted for a different kind of subject. His Jayammana Maga is all about black magic and human sacrifice. It is a battle between good and evil. The movie also projects that God comes to the rescue of his people when in need.
The film is directed by Vikas, a protegee of maverick director Yogaraj Bhat. He has churned out a horror flick with all the necessary masala ingredients and he succeeds in his mission. In the first half, there are good number of comedy scenes and action sequences, but the second half offers chilling moments to the audience.
Naga
(Vijay),

Divya Is The Target
At this juncture, a black magician wants to make a human sacrifice and it is his leading lady, who is the target. Vijay has a tough situation before him and he along with his mother become a part of a bigger scheme. What happens next form the interesting part of the story.
Art Department Gets Full Marks
The major part of the movie has been shot in Chandakadhama Swamy temple, Anekal district and Bangerghatta. The art director erected a special sets to shoot the black magic portions for which he gets full marks.
Thumbs Up For Story-Screenplay
Story and screenplay are brilliantly penned by director Vikas. He has to be praised for coming up with interesting elements.
Cinematography
Sujan's cinematography is yet another highlight of Jayammana Maga. Scenes shot in forest and action sequences have been well captured by the cameramen.
Arjun Janya's Music
Arjun Janya's music score is okay. One song is good and his background music generates curiosity in the minds of audience. At parts, dialogues could not be heard due to heavy background music.
Three Stunt Directors
The director has roped in three stunt directors for the movie. KD Venkatesh, Mass Madha and Vijay Chennai have choreographed action sequences. The 360 degree crescent action scene stuns audience. Dialogues by Chitan is good.
Performance
Character artistes in the movie have done justice to their roles. At parts, Rangayana Raghu goes overboard, lead actress Dr Bharathi, in her limited role, performs well, Kalyani, in Vijay's mother role, is outstanding and Narendra Babu is decent. Honnavalli Krishna justifies his character.
Vijay Steals Show
When it comes to Vijay, he completely steals the show. In fact, he has brought the best out of himself in Jayammana Maga.
Special Mention
His performance in the climax gets a special mention. Baddie Uday is equally good. His dialogue, 'Aham Raktaksha' becomes a punch line.
Verdict
Jayammana Maga is a well-made movie. This one should not be missed.
