Sharan Adhyaksha: Movie Review

Rating:
4.0/5

Every once in a while we get a movie that may not make us think, however it does make us laugh for a while. Comedy actor Sharan had promised that from his next movie Sharan Adhyaksha. The movie was originally titled as Adhyaksha, but was changed to Sharan Adhyaksha after a title row. The movie, set in the backdrop of a village, is a romantic comedy.

Chandru (Sharan) is a happy go lucky kind of village guy. He is the president of an association called Chinteillada Tundaayakara Sangha, which is shortened as Chi. Thu. Sangha. Hence he calls himself Adhyaksha. His best friend portrayed by Chikkanna is the Vice President of the group. The movie revolves around the antics of the Chi. Thu. Sangha.

Aishwarya (Raksha) is the daughter of the village head portrayed beautifully by P Ravi Shankar of Kempe Gowda fame. When Aishwarya's father tried to marry her off even before she turns 18, Chandru makes sure the marriage does not happen. Eventually they both fall in love. However the girl's father is against the relationship.

Sharan is brilliant with his comic timing and sense of humor. Sure, he lacks a bit of charm in the romantic scene, but he makes it up with his talents as a comedian. P Ravi Shankar again does a fantastic job as the antagonist of the movie. However it is the comic timing of P Ravi Shankar that will surprise the audience.

The cameo appearance of Srinagar Kitty, Sri Murali and Prem is a song sequence is a treat to watch. The story is simple and the director keeps the audience entertained throughout the movie. Looks like the movie will repeat the success of Victory.
