Super Ranga - Movie Review

Real star Upendra is back with the 2nd movie of the year titled, Super Ranga. The movie is a remake of the blockbuster hit Telugu movie Kick. His last film Brahma, had received positive response from the audience. Super Ranga is a highly anticipated movie for the Uppi fans. The movie has been released to coincide with the actor's 46th birthday.

The movie remained faithful to the original plot. The story is about a guy named Ranga (Upendra), who is never happy with the jobs he does. Ranga is a thrill seeking man and keeps switching jobs in search of finding adrenaline rush.

Ranga meets Swathi (Krtiti Kharbanda), while he is helping a couple to elope. Swathi, initially dislikes his thrill seeking behavior and his inability to find a stable job. Soon she realizes that Ranga is actually good at heart. They fall in love and decide to get married. However, his habit of quitting one job after the other, leads to their break up.

The twist in the plot comes when Swathi meets a guy (Raghu Mukerjee) for an arranged marriage. He is a police officer who has been trying to arrest Ranga for the theft crimes he has committed. A game of cat and mouse chase ensues as he tries to nab Ranga, while Ranga is trying to rob wealthy people. Why did Ranga become a thief, why is he stealing money and will he reunite with his lover, gets revealed in the climax.

The movie has been directed by comedian Sadhu Kokila and produced by K Manju. Upendra is at his quintessential best in the movie. Know for his slapstick and dark sense of humor, Upendra bring life to the character of Ranga. Kriti Kharbanda plays her role as a glamorous heroine perfectly. The supporting cast has been chosen wisely. Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila do a commendable job as the comic characters in the story line.

Super Ranga is a tailor made movie for Real Star Upendra. The role suits his crazy mannerism; viewers will be entertained by his antics and comic timing. Kriti Kharbanda not only look glamorous, but also does a good job in the acting department. The movie is a must watch for Uppi Fans.
