Rating:
2.0/5
Star Cast: Sharan, Asmita Sood, Ravi Sankar
Director: Santosh

After the successful stint with Victory 5 years ago, actor Sharan is back with the same franchise name with the same set of casting and a couple of technicians in the expected movie that has a sequel to the title.

Chandru (Sharan) is a simpleton who wishes to lead a peaceful and humble life with his loving wife. But life is just a roller-coaster ride that doesn’t offer peace at every step as expected. Munna (Sharan) and Maams (Ravishankar) wish to achieve big in life through short-cut methods and hence, decide to break into a house. On the other parallel point, Chandru saves Hussain (Nasser) but lands in an issue. This leads police to chase Chandru, which becomes a cat-mouse game.

Why would Chandru save Hussain? Why did Hussain get into an issue? How would Chandru bail himself out of the trouble? All this forms the rest of the plot.

Victory 2 Review: This Sharan Starrer Is Not Everyones Cup Of Tea!

Sharan, who has portrayed dual characters in the movie, is good in his dialogue delivery, facial expressions and comic timing. However, the overdose of dialogues with double meaning and sequences, which might not go down well with family audience can make one feel that Sharan too has gone overboard with his acting.

Ravishankar isn’t needed to prove anything with his acting or talent, but this is not the exact character for the talented actor though, he has rendered his usual best in this movie as well.

Sadhu Kokila, Nasser, Tabla Nani and others have churned out, respite with some gags and laughter bites in the movie.

Asmitha Sood and Aproova have brought in the glamour quotient without contributing much to the core content in terms of performances in the movie.

Santhosh, the young director, has tried something genuine to offer a wholesome comedy entertainer to the audience. The idea and the intent is lost somewhere during the scripting phase, as Victory 2 runs high on double meaning and adult-based comedies. The same could have been toned down by increasing the content, which could have spiked up a genuine comedy track.

Arjun Janya is the major highlight of the movie who has scored big time with his music and background score. Maneg Hogalla Naavu song is already a chartbuster much similar to Khaali Quarter Bottle of Victory. Maneg Hogalla Naavu is penned by Yograj Bhat and crooned by Vijay Prakash.

Production values are adequate to the requirement of the movie.

Victory-2 is not everyone’s cup of tea due to the umpteen insertion of adulterated dialogues and comedy.
