BTS' Agency BIGHIT Music Issues Strong Warning Against Online Harassment Of The Band; To Take Legal Route
K-pop stars falling prey to the online harassment and malicious activities is not a new thing. Amid them who has garnered the most fame is BTS, who have also become more prone to trolls, hateful comments, and stalking. While the boy band has garnered massive fan following worldwide over the years, in the downside, they are constantly being scrutinized for their every move. Keeping this in mind, BIGHIT Music, the agency of Korean band, BTS, has issued strong warning against the trollers.

Taking to WeVerse, BIGHIT music shared a strong warning on December 27, it was written, "We regularly initiate legal proceedings against perpetrators of malicious activities targeting BTS, including defamation, personal attacks, sexual harassment, the dissemination of false information, and ill-intentioned criticism."
The agency further stated that several of the offenders have earlier been penalized of upto 2 million KRW, "Among them were individuals who continued uploading malicious posts despite being penalised in earlier complaints. One defendant, who posted hundreds of insulting and defamatory statements on their personal blog, has been convicted and fined a total of five million won," the Bighit Music issued statement.
It further mentioned that anybody violating the artists' rights, leaking personal information will face legal consequenes, "We are collecting, reporting, and pursuing legal action against malicious posts targeting BTS members currently fulfilling their military service. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy, with no settlements or leniency extended to offenders."
According to the reports, the agency has collected reports from various social media sites including TheQoo, Nate Pann, DCInside, among others. For the unversed, the boy band BTS consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
