After V (Kim Tae-hyung) and RM (Kim Nam-joon), BTS' Jungkook (Jeon Jung-kook) and Jimin (Park Jimin) were officially discharged from the military today (Wednesday, June 11) after 18 months! Now, they are able to resume their entertainment activities after a brief hiatus. For those unversed, V and RM completed their mandatory military service yesterday (June 10). BTS Jungkook & Jimin Officially Discharged From Military

Beloved BTS members Jeon Jungkook and Park Jimin have been officially discharged from the military. Photos and videos from Jungkook and Jimin exiting their military camp and greeting their fans are going viral on the internet right now, and netizens can't get enough of it. AMRYs from all across the world have been waiting for their return with bated breath.

In one of the pictures, Jimin and Jungkook are seen saluting in their army uniforms, in front of the reporters and fans stationed there awaiting their return. From shy giggles to greetings, photos and videos of their send-off ceremony are all over the internet right now.

While Jimin looked dashing as ever, Jungkook flaunted his tattooed arms, taking fans into a frenzy.

Both Jimin and Jungkook enlisted for their mandatory military service back on December 12, 2023, and served as active-duty soldiers in the Army's 5th Infantry Division Artillery Brigade.

After completing the discharge process inside the military base, Jimin and Juungkook moved to Yeoncheon Public Stadium in Gyeonggi Province. That's where they greeted the reporters and fans. As reported by Allkpop, upon his discharge, BTS Jungkook expressed his gratitude to everyone who went there to welcome them despite the early hour. He said, "Thank you to everyone who came. It's been a long time since I've been in front of a camera-I didn't even wear makeup today, so I feel a little embarrassed. I'm not sure what to say." He also thanked his fellow soldiers and seniors stating, "To the seniors who went before us, the juniors still in service, the comrades who were discharged earlier, and the officers who looked after us - thank you for taking care of us."

Reflecting on his military life, Park Jimin said, "It was my first time in the military, and honestly, it wasn't easy. But through the hardships, eating meals together, and enduring together, I formed strong bonds with the people around me." Sharing a message to the fans, he added, "Now that I've experienced military life, I can say it's not an easy place. If you see a soldier on the street, please consider offering a warm word-it would mean so much."
