BTS Stars' Flight Details Leak Scam: BTS stars' recently falling prey to breach of privacy has shocked everyone to their core. According to latest reports, an airline Employee has been leaking the sensitive information like flight details of all the South Korean stars including BTS. The Hong Kong airline employee has been running a million dollar scandal out of it. However, after things came to light, investigation is underway.

How Did Accused Airline Employee Make Millions Leaking Flight Details Of BTS Stars?

The latest report suggested that an airline employee in her 30s, identified as A, who resides in Hong Kong, has been accused of leaking flight details information of several high profile South Korean celebrities including BTS stars Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V, RM, and Jin from 2023 to 2024.

On February 25, a report from Sports Chosun revealed how the woman employee has been illegally accessing the sensitive flight information of the BTS stars that includes seat numbers, birth details, flight schedules, and ticket reservations. After the scam came under the limelight, authorities have launched an investigation team suspecting there might be a larger scam going underneath the whole scandal.

As per Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's cybercrime unit, the employee has accessed the sensitive data misusing her access to the internal information in the airlines' booking system software to gather the data and selling them outside for her monetary gain. Another report suggested that the accused employee has arguably made around $7000 (10million KRW) between 2023-2024 by selling more than 1000 ticket details. In a statement, she acknowledged, "At first, I provided flight details at the request of an acquaintance, but later, I started selling the information for profit."

For the unversed, nearly a year ago, HYBE, the management company of BTS, filed a legal complaint suspecting the leaks of flight tickets of the BTS members.
