BTS V & RM Military Discharge: And it's the day all the BTS ARMYs had been eagerly waiting for! BTS' V (Kim Tae Hyung) and RM (Kim Nam Joon) are back! The BTS members have been officially discharged from the military today (Tuesday, June 10) after serving their mandatory military service for 18 months. For those unversed, the two enlisted for their mandatory military service back in December 2023. While RM was a part of the 15th Division's military band, V served as a member of the Special Task Force under the Army's 2nd Corps Military Police. Apparently, Tae-hyung, upon the completion of his extended military training, was assigned to the Ssangyong Unit of the 2nd Corps on February 8 last year (2024).

On Tuesday morning (June 10), a lil while ago, two of the BTS members - V and RM - have been officially discharged from the military after faithfully completing their mandatory military service. Internet is flooded with pics and videos of BTS' V and RM exiting their military base and it's hard for the ARMYs to tame their excitement. The K-pop idols also greeted fans at their military discharge event held at the Sports Park in Sinbuk0eup, Chuncheon, Gangwon Provinces.
Amid loud cheers from their fellow soldiers and fans, BTS' V and RM flashed their radiant smiles after receiving giant flower bouquets. RM (Kim Nam Joon) made a musical return as he played saxophone while making an exit.
BTS V, RM On Their Military Discharge
Upon their discharge, both V and RM turned emotional and warmly hugged each other. They offered an energetic salute as they officially announced their discharge.
As per News19, BTS' V opened up on his military experience and said, Finally, we have been discharged, and we had a short military service, and the conditions have improved a lot. Honestly, there were many painful and difficult times, but during our time of activity, we felt that many people defended the country in our place."
"We felt that many people defended the country and fought for us during our activities, so we could actively engage in our work," he added.
On the other hand, Tae-hyung shared his heartfelt experience and expressed his love for the ARMYs. Hinting at his stage return, BTS V was quoted saying, "Coming to the military made me rethink and reassess my body and mind. I rebuilt my body and mind, and I want to rush to ARMY as soon as possible. I sincerely thank the ARMY who waited for me during my service."
He continued, "If you wait just a little longer, we will return to the stage in style. As said by Corporal Kim Namjoon, there are still good officers and soldiers left in our unit who have taken care of me, and I hope they do not get hurt and safely complete their training and discharge. Thank you for taking good care of me. I will work hard to become a good and great person in society."
BTS members are all set to celebrate their 12th debut anniversary, 2025 BTS FESTA, this week.
BTS Military Discharge Updates: Who Is Next?
With V and RM, four BTS members (V, RM, Jin and J-Hope) are now back from their mandatory military services. BTS Jungkook and Jimin are set to be discharged tomorrow (June 11). BTS Suga (real name - Min Yoon-gi) is likely to get discharged on June 21, 2025.
