The award show, which was hosted by popular K-drama stars Go Min Si from Sweet Home and Lee Jong Won from Brewing Love, has already garnered popularity on its premiere show. The award show has also witnessed quite a few electrifying performances of artists and groups like ZEROBASEONE, NCT WISH, RIIZE, YOUNG POSSE, P1Harmony, tripleS, ENHYPEN, among others.

The highly coveted award, Artist of the Year by D Awards, was announced and fans are gushing over knowing that it is none other than but the Korean boy band, SEVENTEEN, has won the title beating other popular bands and artists like BTS, BLACKPINK, Stay Kids, among others. The band consists of total 13 members featuring S.Coups, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino and is known for deliver several chartbusters hits in the genre of dance-pop, hip-hop, R&B, among several others in various languages like Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and English, etc.

SEVENTEEN made their debut in May, 2015 under PLEDIS Entertainment with a record-breaking album, 17 Carat, emerged to be the longest charting K-pop album of the year. The K-pop band, which has recently concluded their four-month long 'Right Here' tour, said in a viral video, "It's such an honour. We want to give back that honour to CARATs all over the world. This year marks the 10th anniversary of our debut. That's why we're more happy."
The band's last album was Spill The Feels, which was their 12th mini album, featured as the 10th number one album on Billboard World Albums Chart.
