On April 7, 2025, popular South Korean host and TV personality Jun Hyun-Moo (current MC) took everyone by surprise with a late night streaming video, joined by the renowned South Korean singer-songwriter-actress BoA.

The 'Marry My Husband' faced severe backlash from the netizen for allegedly sharing 'too much skinship' with MC Hyun-moo under the influence of alcohol. The main controversy aroused with the mention of the renowned South Korean comedian Park Na-rae. During the live streaming, someone mentioned the dating rumours involving Jun Hyun-moo and Park Na-rae. Reacting to the comment, BoA casually replied, as per Allkpop, "I don't think they're dating," and then added, "He's too good for her."

BoA's remark on Park Na-rae didn't sit well with the audience. While BoA faced severe backlash over her remark, Hyun-moo already received major flak for remaining silent and not taking a stand. The fuming netizens also demanded apology from them for unnecessarily dragging the comedian into their 'drunk' live streaming video.

During one point of the same live streaming, intoxicated BoA was allegedly seeing initiating physical contact with Jun Hyun-moo and told him, "I like you", as reported by Sportskeeda. Replying to BoA's confession, the host said, "You looked so pretty."

After BoA, Jun Hyun-moo Apologizes For Their Comment On Park Na-Rae

Following the several backlash, Jun Hyun-moo finally broke his silence and issued an apology over the controversial live streaming video. Taking to Instagram, he shared his statement, that read (translated by Koreaboo) -

"This is Jun Hyun Moo.
I apologize for the delay in my official apology regarding the Instagram live broadcast last Saturday.

During the live, I mentioned Na Rae unexpectedly, and I immediately expressed my apology to her after the broadcast. I want to once again thank Na Rae for understanding and being generous, even in a situation where she could have been uncomfortable.

It was wrong of me to mention someone without their presence on the broadcast, and it was also careless of me to conduct the live broadcast while under the influence of alcohol.

I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable because of this incident. I will be more considerate and cherish those close to me. I will reflect on my actions."

Recently, BoA also issued a direct public apology to Park Na-rae over her remark during the 'flirty' and controversial live streaming. As per Koreaboo, she took to Weverse and issued an official statement that read, "Hello, this is BoA.

I want to apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable because of my careless behavior and immature words during a social media live broadcast on the 5th.

First of all, I personally expressed my sincere apologies to Park Na Rae for making inappropriate comments in a situation where the person involved was not present. I am grateful for her understanding.

I am also sorry for disappointing my fans who have supported and loved me for a long time despite my shortcomings.

Through this incident, I will take a moment to reflect on myself once again, and I will do my best to show a more mature side, always remembering the weight of my words and actions in the future. (sic)"
