This lawsuit was filed against Garosero Institute operator Kim Se Ui and the family of late actress Kim Sae Ron. The actor's legal team called out the allegations as "baseless." They addressed the charges that stem after Kim Se Ui's press conference held earlier this year.

As per the official statement by Kim Soo Hyun's legal team, LKB & Partners, Kim Se Ui and Kim Sae Ron's family spread false information and accused the actor of false claims. The statement read, "Kim Se Ui and the late Kim Sae Ron's family went beyond merely spreading false information based on a forged audio file, they even filed a criminal complaint against actor Kim Soo Hyun, accusing him of false charges and violations of the Child Welfare Act. This is a clear and serious case of false accusation (sic)."

The legal team further assured that they will take all that it takes in order to hold Kim Sae Ron's family and Kim Se Ui accountable. The statement further read, "Gold Medalist and actor Kim Soo Hyun have taken swift legal action by filing this additional lawsuit and criminal complaint against Kim Se Ui and the family of the late Kim Sae Ron. We will do everything we can to ensure that they are held fully accountable under the law and according to due process."

As per the rumors, Kim Soo Hyun is taking this step as he is facing severe financial loss because of the lawsuit filed by several companies.

A controversial claim made by the YouTube channel Garosero suggests that the two were involved when Kim Sae-ron was underage, an accusation Kim has strongly denied. According to his statement, their relationship began only after she was legally of age.

In response, Kim's agency, Gold Medalist, has taken serious legal steps. They've filed defamation and stalking complaints, while also demanding damages worth approximately 12 billion KRW (around USD 8.7 million). In a recent court ruling, properties worth 4 billion KRW, reportedly belonging to Kim Se-ui (Garosero's operator), were temporarily seized.

The controversy has also impacted Kim's brand value. Several endorsement deals have been dropped, with some companies now seeking compensation.
