Allegdations are being made left right and center against Queen of Tears actor Kim Soo-Hyun. It was late actress Kim Sae-Ron's aunt who first exposed Soo-Hyun. YouTuber Lee Jin-Ho threatened to take legal action against Kim Sae-Ron's family after calling their aunt, who first exposed Kim Soo-Hyun, "fake." The YouTuber claimed that the bereaved had no actual relationship with the aunt. Shutting down these allegations, Sae-Ron's mother said these are just "false claimings."

As per Koreaboo's report, Sae-Ron's mother stated, "Mr. Lee Jin Ho, there is no such person in this family. The aunt is simply Sae Ron's aunt, that is all. No harm done, ever. In fact, if there were someone falsely claiming to be Sae Ron's relative, we would be the ones taking legal action, not you." She further revealed that it doesn't matter whether she is a real aunt or a fake aunt what matters is that she has been with their family for over 20 years.

Sae-Ron's mother then confirmed that the aunt was speaking on behalf of the family with their consent. She reportedly stated, "For the past three years, while someone was systematically spreading false articles and mobilizing organized comments to torment Sae Ron, the only person by Sae Ron's side was her family-including her aunt. From the day Sae Ron passed away until now, the aunt put her life on hold and has been staying by my side for over a month."

Sae-Ron's family further claimed that they never knew about the late actress marriage or alleged abortion. On March 20, 2025, Garo Sero Institute released an audio clip where it was revealed that Sae-Ron was married to a Korean-American man and even got pregnant with him but later had to go for abortion.

Kim Sae-Ron's mother was first planning to hold a press conference to address the claims being made. But she couldn't muster up the courage to do so. Kim Se Ui confirmed through Lee Jin-Ho's video, "Her family members told us they never heard of Sae Ron getting married. And the abortion? They said they couldn't understand why Sae Ron would have said such a thing to her manager."
