On April 15 (Tuesday), Kim Soo-hyun's agency revealed that the actor has been facing severe s*xual harassment and cyber bullying amidst the ongoing dating scandal with late actress Kim Sae-ron.
Sharing an official statement, the agency revealed that the filed a legal complaint with 'law enforcement' for the individuals spreading malicious rumours and defamatory content on the internet against the actor, as per Koreaboo. The agency's official statement, as translated by the portal, read -
"Hello, this is GOLD MEDALIST. Recently, malicious posts, comments, and false facts about our artist Kim Soo Hyun have been spread indiscriminately online. In particular, groundless and speculative posts and unconfirmed claims have been repeatedly posted, giving the public a false impression and damaging the artist's reputation.
Malicious slander, false information, personal attacks, and sexual harassment are rampant on online community boards and social media and should not be taken lightly. We filed a complaint to the authorities on April 14 for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act based on fan reports and our own monitoring. (sic)"
The agency further added, "The 'cyber wrecker,' who uses anonymity to create fake news and produce videos, is also a serious issue. As the 'cyber wrecker's' identity has been revealed and legal action is being taken, we will also take strong action on overseas platforms such as YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) with our overseas legal representatives.
We will continue to file additional lawsuits against malicious posts that defame our artist's image and do our best to protect the artist's rights with strong legal action. Thank you. (sic)"
Kim Soo Hyun's Ex-Star's Epic Response To 'Hate' Goes Viral
Now, after GOLDMEDALIST's legal step against harassment and bullying, Kim Soo-hyun's It's Okay To Not To Be Okay co-star Seo Yea Ji's unfiltered message to 'hate' has gone viral . On April 15, as per a kbizoom report, Seo Yea-ji, took to the global fan communication platform 'Dear U Bubble' and interacted with her fans.
During the chat, when one of her fans advised her to "Ignore mean comments," she causally replied with a meme. Explaining the meaning of the meme, the actress wrote, "Now is the time to clear your heart of hatred," breaking down each syllable with Korean characters: 'Ah' (clear), 'Oh' (hate), 'Si' (time), 'Bal' (to manage). She humorously warned fans, "If anyone says something nasty, I'm sending them this. (sic)"
"I have a lot of these. When I'm angry, I just read them by myself." She also shared another meme, explaining a phrase that translates roughly to, "Being enveloped in comfort leads to cheerfulness, (sic)" she added apparently as translated by the said portal.
For those unversed, 'Eve' actress Seo Yea Ji previously created headlines for her past relationship with South Korean actor Kim Jung-hyun, known as the gaslighting controversy, and school violence allegations.
