After so much demand, Kim Soo-Hyun has finally held a press conference and made his first public appearance since the dating scandal controversy started. He held the press conference to address the allegations he has been facing for his alleged relationship with late actress Kim Sae-Ron while she was a minor. During the conference, Soo-Hyun wore an all black outfit. He bowed at the reporters and sat down on the chair to make his official statement.

The actor Kim Soo-Hyun started by apologizing for the ongoing controversy. He then went on to explain his relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-Ron. As per Koreaboo's report Soo-Hyun said, "Hello, this is Kim Soo Hyun. First of all, I apologize. Because of me, too many people are suffering right now... And I feel like the deceased is unable to rest in peace, which makes me feel terrible. I think of myself as a coward (sic)."

Later, Soo-Hyun choked up into tears as he addressed his relationship with Sae-Ron. He cried while saying. "I've been hiding. So it took me a long time to come here. I wondered how things might have been if I held a press conference at the beginning of it all. Then, I would not have caused so much suffering to the fans who love and support me, the staff at my management company (sic)." During his press conference, Soo-Hyun denied dating Sae-Ron while she was a minor. He clearly said, "I did not date the deceased (Kim Sae Ron) when she was a minor (sic)."
