We previously saw YouTuber Lee Jin Ho releasing several pictures and videos of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron, claiming that they were allegedly in a relationship. Kim Soo Hyun has accepted dating late actress Kim Sae Ron, but only when she was an adult. The YouTuber has not released a new photo of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron. A video was released by Lee Jin Ho on May 27, 2025. He compared the shared photo with the same uploaded by Garo Sero Research Institute (a YouTube Channel). Lee Jin Ho claimed that the photos of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron was not taken when the late actress was a minor but instead it was taken when she was an adult. The photo was shared by Koreaboo.

As per the reports, Lee Jin Ho shared another photo that was taken on the same day as the photo shared by Garo Sero. In both photos, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron are wearing the same clothes and have similar getups. Lee Jin Ho explained that Sae Ron is holding an iPhone 11 in her hand, which was released in September 2019. Back in 2019, Sae Ron was an adult.

Kim Soo Hyun previously addressed this in his press conference, saying that he dated Kim Sae Ron only after she turned an adult, somewhere from summer 2019 to fall of 2020.

In the press conference before, Kim Soo Hyun stated, "I wondered how things might have been if I held a press conference at the beginning of it all to clarify everything. Then, I would not have caused so much suffering to the fans who love and support me and the staff at my management company who worked so hard leading up to this conference (sic)." He further addressed not dating Kim Sae Ron while she was a minor. The actor said, "I'll talk about the part you're most curious about. I did not date the deceased when she was a minor. And it is also not true that the deceased made a tragic choice because of me turning away or because my agency pressured her about her debt (sic)."

Kim Soo Hyun further added in his press conference, "Aside from the fact that we were both actors, we were both just ordinary lovers like everyone else. We met with good feelings for each other, and as time passed, we broke up. After that, we rarely contacted each other (sic)."
