Undercover High School (Kdrama) Ending Explained: The South-Korean version of 'Main Hoon Na', Undercover High School (not literally), recently wrapped up its 12-episode-journey and we are already missing Jeong Hae-seong and his gang along with his chaotically-entertaining equation with houseroom teacher and his childhood love Oh Soo-ah.
The MBC action-thriller premiered its heart-pumping finale (episode 12) on March 29 (Saturday) and it answered all the unanswered questions that were brewing inside our minds. Do the 'gold bars' really exist? The recently-concluded kdrama finally answered this question as well.
Undercover High School Ending Explained: Climax Scene, Spoilers
NIS agent and undercover high school student Hae-seong vs Seo Myeong-ju (the Chairwoman of Byeongmun Foundation and Byeongmun High School) reached to an all-time high note in the finale episode.
After the high school students and authorities gathered together and demanded Myeong-ju to step down from the chairwoman's position of Byeongmun High School, she tried to set the entire school on fire along with herself. However, Hae-seong saved them in a a heroic way with the help of his team and Miss Soo-ah.
In the last episode, Hae-seong, who was framed for the murder of the NIS Chief, finally gathered evidence against Myeong-ju and all her wrongdoings. He also proved that it was Myeong-ju who killed his father. In the court, her right-hand man testified against her and also confessed that it was him who killed the NIS chief. At the end of the episode, she was found guilty and received a life imprisonment verdict.
Now, the million dollars question? Do the gold bars actually exist? The answer is - Yes, they do! Did Hae-seong find them? YES! After the mission, Hae-seong recalled one f his childhood moment with his father from where he got the clue of where was the gold hidden.
Will There Be Undercover High School Season 2?
The MBC espionage-thriller Undercover High School ended on a picture-perfect happy note. In the climax scene, we were time travelled to 5 years later where Hae-seong became the new home school teacher of Byeongmun High School and he finally proposes to Oh Soo-ah and puts a ring on her finger.
The drama answered to all questions and gave closure to every character. Thus, there are very low chances of this drama to get renewed for a second season.
