The first trial was held on June 18, 205, nearly a year after the incident. As per the reports, Taeil and the victim met in a bar on June 13, 2024, he then forced the victim to take him to one of the defendant's residences, leading to r*pe in an unconscious state. Where Is NCT's Taeil?

Taeil was removed from his band, NCT, in August 2024. After the termination, Taeil continued to work at part-time jobs. Back then, in a LIVE stream, he said, "I was kicked out of my agency after working as a singer, and I am currently working part-time jobs." He was then making a living by working at a friend's restaurant.

Taeil Requests For Leniency

As per the prosecutor, Taeil and his two acquaintances will be jailed for 7 years each. However, NCY's former vocalist has demanded leniency. He said in the trail, "I am deeply sorry to everyone who is disappointed in me." He further said to the prosecutor, "If leniency is granted, I will consider it my last opportunity in life and will do my best to contribute to society in any way I can."

The sentencing hearing of Taeil and 2 other men will be held on July 10, 2025. It will then be decided whether Taeil has been granted leniency or not.
