The movie surpassed the collections of Mohanlal's Pulimurugan, which held the title of the highest-grossing Malayalam movie ever.

By breaking numerous collection records, the film became a milestone in malayalam cinema coveted by every producer, director, and star. Despite minimal pre-release publicity, this film has emerged as a box-office sensation in Mollywood.

Making history in the Malayalam film industry, it became the first-ever Malayalam film to enter the esteemed 150 crore club. Adding to its remarkable triumph, the film has amassed an astonishing 160 crore at the worldwide box office, solidifying its phenomenal success.

Now this Tovino-starrer film has achieved another feat. The '2018' movie becomes the first Mollywood movie to cross Rs 100 crore gross in the domestic market.
