Malavika
Menon's
Ten-Year
Rise
in
Malayalam
Cinema
and
Social
Media
Stardom:
Actress
Malavika
Menon,
known
for
her
impressive
ten-year
journey
in
Malayalam
cinema,
has
been
making
waves
on
social
media
as
well.
In
an
exclusive
interview
with
Vanitha,
Malavika
candidly
shared
her
experiences,
including
the
downsides
of
being
active
on
various
social
platforms.
Hailing
from
Kodungallur,
Malavika
cherishes
her
close-knit
family,
with
her
father
Balachandran
being
involved
in
the
construction
business.
She
fondly
speaks
of
her
world
revolving
around
her
mother,
Sreekala,
and
her
younger
brother,
Aravind,
who
is
currently
pursuing
engineering.
The
Leaked
Video
Controversy:

The
Record
Straight
The
actor
also
opened
up
about
a
video
that
was
circulated
under
her
name,
causing
a
stir
online.
Malavika
reveals,
"During
a
shoot
trip,
I
was
bombarded
with
numerous
calls
on
my
phone,
informing
me
about
a
leaked
video
of
myself
circulating
on
the
internet.
Some
even
speculated
that
the
photographer
himself
leaked
it." However,
she
clarifies
what
truly
happened.
According
to
Malavika,
the
incident
was
related
to
a
photoshoot
she
did
with
a
photographer
and
his
make-up
artist
wife,
whom
she
knew
personally.
She
had
even
uploaded
a
behind-the-scenes
video
of
the
photoshoot
on
her
YouTube
channel.
Unfortunately,
a
portion
of
that
video
was
cropped,
zoomed,
and
posted
as
a
separate
video,
creating
the
misunderstanding.
"I
addressed
the
issue
to
those
who
questioned
me.
I
don't
feel
obligated
to
respond
to
every
comment
on
social
media,"
Malavika
firmly
states.
She
emphasises
that
as
long
as
she
knows
she
hasn't
done
anything
wrong,
there's
no
reason
to
fear
anyone.
However,
she
points
out
the
rampant
cyberbullying,
where
some
netizens
feel
entitled
to
say
anything
to
anyone.
She
reveals
that
legal
action
has
been
taken
against
those
who
made
derogatory
remarks
through
fake
accounts.
Interestingly,
despite
studying
Bharatanatyam
since
the
tender
age
of
three,
Malavika
admits
to
harbouring
stage
fright,
which
has
held
her
back
from
participating
in
youth
festivals.
Yet
she
proudly
highlights
that
she
has
been
able
to
overcome
this
fear
and
excel
in
her
acting
career.
At
the
age
of
four
or
five,
I
witnessed
a
movie
shooting
for
the
first
time,
'Minnaminnikoottam.' Reflecting
on
her
journey,
Malavika
revealed
that
many
years
later,
Sidharth
Bharathan
approached
her
to
act
in
the
movie
'Nidra.'
With
a
decade
of
experience
under
her
belt,
Malavika
considers
every
film
a
valuable
learning
experience.
Recently,
she
has
been
a
part
of
big
projects
like
'Kaduva,'
'Aaraattu,'
'Pappan,'
and
'CBI
5.'
She
is
also
eagerly
anticipating
the
release
of
'Pathimoonnam
Rathri,'
D148,'
and
'Indira.'
The
talented
actress
is
committed
to
taking
on
substantial
roles
that
showcase
her
versatility
and
talent
in
the
years
to
come.
