Actor Vinayakan's Phone Seized By Police: Forensic Examination To Unravel Social Media Controversy!

Vinayakans Phone Seized By Police For Forensic Examination

Police Seize Vinayakan's Phone: Actor Vinayakan's phone, seized by the police, will undergo forensic examination as part of the investigation into his alleged social media insult directed at the late former Chief Minister of Kerala, Oommen Chandy.

The police conducted the seizure at Vinayakan's flat in Kaloor during a recent visit and discovered that he had used the phone for a Facebook live session.

Vinayakan reportedly stated that his remark was made in the heat of the moment. Based on a thorough analysis of his statement, the police will decide on further actions to be taken. The case has been registered against Vinayakan on charges of speaking provocatively and disrespecting a deceased person.

While Oommen Chandy's funeral procession was underway, Vinayakan's social media post sparked numerous complaints, leading to the case's initiation by the Ernakulam North Police. The charges against him are bailable offences. One of the complainants, Sanal Nediyathara, staged a one-man protest in front of the police station, demanding Vinayakan's arrest.

However, Oommen Chandy's son, Chandy Oommen, expressed that there is no need to pursue legal action against Vinayakan, as he did not personally hear the remark. Chandy Oommen emphasised that the public's perception of Oommen Chandy remains unaffected by such statements.

In the aftermath of the incident, Youth Congress workers staged a protest outside Vinayakan's residence in Kaloor. In response, Vinayakan lodged a complaint with the police, alleging that the activists had attacked his residence and shattered the windows of the flat. The police are investigating this claim. Additionally, Malayalam cinema organisations are reportedly considering action against Vinayakan, even though he is not a member of the star organisation AMMA.

Vinayakan's Controversial Remarks: Widespread Protests Erupt After Facebook Live Session

The controversy erupted when actor Vinayakan made abusive remarks against the late Oommen Chandy, who passed away on July 18th. During a Facebook Live session, Vinayakan questioned the public holiday and mourning for the former Chief Minister, triggering widespread protests.

"Who is this Oommen Chandy? Why a public holiday for three days? I am asking the media to stop and go. My father died, and your father also died. What should we do about it? Even if you think Oommen Chandy is good, I don't think so. If we look at Karunakaran's case, don't we all know who he was?" said Vinayakan in his Facebook Live.

Subsequently, The actor pulled the post after the video became a big discussion on social media. However, by then, the video had been widely shared on social media and had drawn severe criticism.
