Dhoomam: OTT Release Date, Streaming Platform, Cast, And Other Fascinating Insights
Dhoomam OTT Release: The pan-Indian film Dhoomam, starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, made its grand debut in theatres on June 23 and received mixed responses from the audience.
Written and directed by Pawan Kumar, the film features many big stars in the Malayalam and Kannada film industries. Dhoomam has been released in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
Notably, Dhoomam marks the first Malayalam venture for Hombale Films, the renowned production house behind blockbusters like KGF and Kantara. Pawan Kumar, the acclaimed director of films such as Lifeu Ishtene, Lucia, and U Turn, helms this full-length Malayalam feature for the first time.
Dhoomam OTT Release Details
Amazon Prime Video acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights to the film. It was supposed to release on the platform on August 4, 2023, but it was delayed. As per the latest reports, the film will start streaming on the digital platform Amazon Prime soon.
Dhoomam: Fahadh Faasil's Ambitious Venture With Aparna Balamurali And Stellar Cast
Dhoomam stands as Fahadh Faasil's project following the success of the hit Malayalam film Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum. The film has been described as Fahadh's most ambitious undertaking in terms of budget. Aparna Balamurali plays the female lead, reuniting with Fahadh after their previous collaboration in the critically acclaimed film Maheshinte Prathikaaram. Roshan Mathew, Achyuth Kumar, Vineeth, Joy Mathew, and Anu Mohan also star in pivotal roles.
The film boasts music by renowned Kannada composer Poornachandra Tejaswi, while Preeta Jayaraman, known for her work in films like Kannamoochi Yenada, Abhiyum Naanum, Aakasamantha, and Hey Sinamika, handles the cinematography. Preeta is the niece of the renowned cinematographer P.C. Sreeram.
Karthik Gowda and Vijay Subramaniam serve as the creative producers, with Renganaath Ravee handling the sound design. Shibu Sushilan takes on the role of executive producer, while Kabir Manav serves as line producer. Chetan DSouza is the action director; Joha Kabir handles the fashion styling; and Srikanth Pupala is the chief associate director. Josmon George serves as the script advisor, Babin Babu heads distribution, Obscura Entertainment handles digital marketing, and Manju Gopinath acts as the PRO. Binu Bringforth provides expertise as the marketing consultant.
