Director
Siddique's
Tragic
Battle
Against
Illness:
Director
Siddique's
battle
against
illness
ended
tragically,
leaving
his
friends
and
well-wishers
in
sorrow.
Despite
their
fervent
prayers
and
unwavering
hope,
he
couldn't
overcome
the
challenges
he
faced.
His
friends,
who
gathered
anxiously
in
Amrita
Hospital's
courtyard,
now
hold
onto
cherished
memories
of
their
camaraderie.
For
four
weeks,
Siddique's
life
hung
precariously
on
the
edge
between
survival
and
demise.
His
hospitalisation
at
Amrita
Hospital
on
July
10
was
a
result
of
severe
liver
disease,
specifically
non-alcoholic
cirrhosis
of
the
liver.
The
doctors
proposed
a
liver
transplant,
but
during
the
process,
pneumonia
struck,
disrupting
the
functioning
of
both
his
lungs
and
liver.
In
the
ICU,
Siddique
fought
valiantly
with
the
aid
of
ventilator
support.
Gradually,
his
health
improved,
and
he
was
moved
from
the
ventilator
to
the
recovery
ICU
after
rigorous
treatment.
The
plan
to
perform
a
liver
transplant
using
his
daughter's
liver
was
set
in
motion
a
week
ago.
However,
an
unexpected
heart
attack
struck
him,
and
he
was
shifted
to
the
Cardiology
ICU
with
ventilator
assistance.
Despite
the
efforts
to
sustain
his
heart
and
lung
functions
through
ECMO,
a
life-saving
device,
Siddique's
condition
continued
to
deteriorate.
A
Somber
Conclusion:
Remembering
Siddique's
Impact
And
Friendship
The
battle
reached
its
sombre
conclusion
at
9:10
last
night,
as
ECMO
support
was
withdrawn
with
the
consent
of
his
family.
The
Malayalam
film
industry,
along
with
his
family
and
fans,
had
hoped
for
his
recovery,
imagining
his
signature
smile
and
warm
conversations.
The
outpouring
of
support
was
evident
as
friends,
colleagues,
and
fans
gathered
at
the
hospital,
waiting
for
a
miracle
that
was
never
to
come.
