Emotional Farewell To Malayalam Cinema Icon: Siddique, the renowned figure in Malayalam cinema known for his hit films, was given an emotional farewell in his hometown.
The film industry and cinema enthusiasts came together to say goodbye to the late director Siddique, who passed away yesterday. His remains were laid to rest in the Ernakulam Central Juma Masjid Graveyard.
The police paid formal respects at his residence and later proceeded to the Ernakulam Central Juma Masjid in a solemn procession. Following official honours at the Mosque, the burial took place in the cemetery after the prayers.
Siddique was the director who demonstrated the art of consistently crafting megahits in the realm of Malayalam cinema. His unexpected passing at the age of 63 left a void in the film industry. This morning, his body was carried in a mourning procession from his residence in Pallikkara to the Ernakulam Kadavanthra Indoor Stadium at 8:30 a.m.
The Malayalam film industry gathered here to offer their final tributes. Actor-director Lal, who was Siddique's closest friend and long-time partner in the profession, was visibly moved by the loss and was seen overcome with emotion.

Members of the general public and cinema enthusiasts came forward to honour director Siddique. Hailing from Pullepadi, Siddique's journey from humble beginnings as a mimicry artist at Cochin Kalabhavan to becoming a hitmaker in the world of Malayalam cinema was an inspiration to many.
Around 11:00, the body was transported to his residence in Pallikkara. Filmmakers and locals alike gathered to pay their final respects at that place. The procession to Ernakulam Central Juma Masjid commenced after 4:30 PM, accompanied by official honours from the state government. The burial took place in the cemetery thereafter.
Siddique, who masterfully directed a string of megahits, left an indelible mark on Malayalam cinema. As his body was laid to rest, the legacy he created through his remarkable creations will forever resonate with the hearts of the audience he touched.
