Empuraan: Mohanlal Reveals Insider Details And International Filming Locations Of Prithviraj Directorial
Mohanlal's 'L2: Empuraan' Update: Prithviraj Sukumaran's directorial debut, 'Lucifer,' achieved remarkable success as one of Mohanlal's highest-grossing films. The much-anticipated sequel, 'L2: Empuraan,' was officially announced in August last year.
In May, Aashirvad Cinemas released a video featuring Prithviraj and Antony Perumbavoor exploring potential filming locations in London for their upcoming high-budget film. The production was scheduled to begin in August.
However, Prithviraj sustained an injury while filming 'Vilayath Buddha,' leading to a two-month break. After his recovery, there were reports that filming for 'L2: Empuraan' would resume in September. However, the first schedule did not commence as planned. "L2: Empuraan" then officially went into production on October 5. The first schedule of the film has now been completed, and the film's makers have recently shared the first look of the movie.

In an interview with Manorama online during the promotion of the upcoming courtroom drama movie 'Neru,' Mohanlal shared exciting details about the highly anticipated movie 'Empuraan.' Revealing insider insights, he confirmed the commencement of the second schedule, set to begin in the UK in January 2024. Mohanlal further disclosed that the film's production will traverse various international and domestic destinations, including the UAE, USA, Chennai, Gujarat, and Kerala. With an eagerly awaited release, 'Empuraan' is slated to hit cinemas in 2025, sparking enthusiastic anticipation among fans and cinephiles alike.

"Lucifer" is an enthralling political action thriller skillfully directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy. Produced under Aashirvad Cinemas by Antony Perumbavoor, this film marked Prithviraj's impressive debut as a director.
The star-studded cast features the legendary Mohanlal as Stephen Nedumpally/Khureshi-Ab'raam, along with talented actors Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saniya Iyappan, Sai Kumar, John Vijay, Sachin Khedekar, Baiju Santhosh, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Fazil, Suresh Chandra Menon, and Nyla Usha.
