Actor Kailas Nath Passed Away: Film and television actor Kailas Nath, aged 65, has passed away. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Kochi during the course of his treatment for liver disease.
Kailasnath was a prominent figure in the Malayalam television and film industry, extending his work to the Tamil industry as well. Renowned for movies like "Yugapurushan," "Etho Oru Swapnam," "Thamasoma Jyothirgamaya," and "Oru Thalai Ragam," Kailas Nath's contributions left a lasting impact.
Born in Mannar, Kerala, Kailasnath pursued his education at the Government High School and later graduated from Devasam Board Pamba College. During his school days, he was engaged in mimicry and stage performances, collaborating with Allapey Ashraf.
To further his skills, Kailasnath enrolled in the Madras South Indian Film Chamber's acting course, where he crossed paths with future renowned actors like Nazer, Shankar, Chiranjeevi, and Sreenath. He even taught acting and directing at various intitutes.
Kailasnath's family included his mother Gauri Antharjanam, his wife Ajitha, and their daughter Dhanya.
Kailas Nath's Illustrious Acting Career
His acting career commenced with the film "Sangamam," directed by Suresh Krishna, released on July 16, 1999. Notably, he played a lead role in the children's movie "Vidarunna Mottukal," portraying a teacher's deep affection for his students.
Kailas Nath portrayed various roles, including a doctor in "Sara Varsham" and the character Kochu Swami in the hit film "Etho Oru Swapnam." However, his breakthrough came with the film "Oru Thalai Ragam," elevating his popularity.
Having acted in 163 movies, with 90 of them in Tamil, Kailasnath predominantly assumed comedic roles. Collaborating with legendary actors like Rajinikanth in "Valli," he left his mark on the industry. His involvement in films like "Palaivana Solai," "Mizhikal Sakshi," "Sethurama Iyer CBI," and "Seeta Kalyanam" earned him recognition.
Kailas Nath's talents extended to television, featuring in serials like "Malootty," "Rathrikal," "Purappaddu," "Pranavam," and "Seemantham." Notably, "Seemantham" marked his debut in the serial arena.
