Harish Pengan Passes Away: The entertainment industry mourns the loss of the exceptionally talented actor Harish Pengan, whose endearing characters infused with humour and simplicity delighted audiences.

With great sadness, we bid farewell to this remarkable artist who valiantly fought against a liver disease, leaving behind a legacy filled with laughter and heartfelt performances. Harish passed away at the Amrita Hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment.

Harish's journey began with his debut in the film "Kayamkulam Kochunni," where he garnered attention through his portrayal of the character Pengan. As a result of the recognition he received for this role, Harish decided to incorporate the character's name into his own, forever intertwining his identity with the memorable character he brought to life.

In a past interview with the online media outlet 1000 Arrows, Harish openly shared his struggles to secure roles in the highly competitive film industry. "To get a role in the film, I have wandered a lot," he said. He then humbly acknowledged the kindness of those who extended their hand to help him find his place in Malayalam cinema.

Through unwavering support and friendship from the film fraternity, Harish was provided with opportunities to showcase his talent and bring joy to others through his comedic prowess. Making others smile brought him immeasurable happiness, and his dedication to such roles endeared him to the hearts of many.

Unfortunately, Harish's battle with liver disease forced him to endure a challenging journey towards recovery. Upon being hospitalised for minor abdominal pain, doctors discovered the underlying condition and urgently recommended a liver transplant. Although Harish's twin sister, Sreeja, selflessly volunteered to donate her liver, the substantial costs associated with the treatment presented a significant obstacle.

During this time of need, Harish's friends and colleagues came together, appealing to the public for support to alleviate the financial burden faced by the ailing actor in the intensive care unit. However, tragically, Harish departed before receiving the support of his friends and art lovers.
