Honey
Rose
Speaks
Out
Against
Body
Shaming:
In
a
recent
interview
with
Manorama
Weekly,
popular
actress
Honey
Rose
bravely
opened
up
about
her
personal
experiences
with
body
shaming.
The
stunning
actress
revealed
that
she
has
been
a
victim
of
this
hurtful
behaviour
not
just
on
social
media
platforms
but
also
on
television
channels.
Known
for
her
captivating
performances
and
graceful
presence,
Honey
Rose
has
been
making
waves
in
the
entertainment
industry.
Lately,
she
has
been
actively
involved
in
various
inauguration
events
and
has
inaugurated
numerous
initiatives
in
Kerala.
Unfortunately,
along
with
her
rising
popularity
came
the
emergence
of
trolls
targeting
her
curvaceous
body
type.
While
Honey
Rose
admitted
that
she
could
initially
find
some
humour
in
the
trolls,
she
emphasised
that
there
is
a
certain
limit
that,
when
crossed,
deeply
affects
a
person.
The
actress
confessed,
"I
have
been
a
victim
of
body
shaming
in
an
awful
way.
Making
fun
of
someone's
body
is
not
a
nice
thing
to
hear."
Body
Shaming
In
Television
Channels
Despite
trying
to
ignore
such
hurtful
comments,
Honey
Rose
revealed
that
she
still
feels
a
profound
sadness
when
women
join
in
body-shaming
her.
She
recounted
a
recent
incident
during
a
television
programme
where
an
anchorwoman
asked
a
guest
actor,
"How
would
you
feel
if
Honey
Rose
walked
by
in
front
of
you?" The
actor
handled
the
question
with
grace,
responding,
"What
should
I
feel?
I
don't
feel
anything."
However,
the
anchorwoman's
laughter
and
enjoyment
at
the
question
deeply
affected
Honey
Rose,
leaving
her
feeling
terribly
upset.
"What
bothers
me
even
more
is
that
these
same
people
invite
me
for
interviews
and
ask
me
questions
like,
'Does
body
shaming
affect
you?'" Honey
Rose
expressed
her
disappointment
with
the
industry,
noting
that
the
channels
themselves
seem
to
endorse
this
type
of
behaviour.
She
further
revealed
that
a
famous
comedian
on
another
channel
made
a
similar
comment,
stating,
"I
can
inaugurate
even
without
these
curves."
Honey
Rose
emphasised
that
such
remarks
and
comedic
acts
centred
around
a
woman's
body
are
both
disheartening
and
degrading.
However,
the
actress
remains
resilient
and
chooses
to
dismiss
these
derogatory
comments
with
the
contempt
they
deserve.
Honey
Rose's
candid
conversation
sheds
light
on
the
prevalent
issue
of
body
shaming
in
the
entertainment
industry,
urging
for
a
more
inclusive
and
respectful
environment
for
all
artists.
Honey
Rose
is
set
to
star
in
the
upcoming
film
'Rani,'
directed
by
Shankar
Ramakrishnan.
The
movie
features
a
talented
ensemble
cast,
including
Urvashi,
Bhavana,
and
Indrans,
who
play
important
roles
alongside
Honey
Rose.
Making
her
debut
as
the
lead
actress
in
the
film
is
newcomer
Niyathi
Kadambi.
