Sree Gokulam Movies, led by the esteemed Gokulam Gopalan, has successfully acquired the Kerala distribution rights for "Jailer." Reports suggest that Gokulam Movies has secured the highest-ever payment for a Rajinikanth film since the blockbuster "2.0," directed by Shankar. Fans can mark their calendars, as the film is set to hit theatres on August 10.

Notably, this isn't the first time Gokulam Movies has acquired prominent distribution rights. They previously obtained the distribution rights for Vijay's "Leo," as well as Mani Ratnam's "Ponniyin Selvan" and Vikram's "Cobra" in Kerala. Their partnership with Lyca Productions also resulted in bringing the last six films of the production house to Kerala.

Directed by the talented Nelson Dilipkumar, "Jailer" showcases Rajinikanth in the role of 'Muthuvel Pandian,' while the versatile Ramya Krishnan makes a powerful appearance in the film.
