Karnataka Election 2023: The assembly polls in Karnataka are taking place on Wednesday, with voters flocking to the election booths to cast their votes. The polling started at 7 a.m. and will go on until 6 p.m. As far as the elections are concerned, several celebrities have cast their votes. This includes actors like Prakash Raj, Upendra Rao, etc.

Actor Prakash Raj arrived on Wednesday at a polling booth in St. Joseph's School in Bengaluru's Shanti Nagar. He met with the press after casting the vote, urging people to vote wisely. He also said he was there because we need "Karnataka to be beautiful."

Videos of Narayana Murthy standing in line to vote in the Karnataka polls in Bengaluru surfaced online. After casting his vote, the 76-year-old said, "First, we vote. Then we can say, 'This is good, this isn't good.'" But if we don't do that, then we don't have the right to criticise." Murthy's philanthropist wife, Sudha Murthy, also cast her vote. The present Karnataka Chief Minister, Basavaraj Bommai, also cast his votes along with his family.

The polling is scheduled across 58,545 polling stations, with a total of 42,48,028 new voters having been registered to vote in the elections. The major political parties that are contesting the election are the BJP, Congress, and JD(S).
