Ganesh

Slams
Vinayakan
for
Insulting
Late
Chief
Minister
Oommen
Chandy:
Actor
and
MLA
KB
Ganesh
Kumar
stated
that
actor
Vinayakan,
who
disrespected
the
late
former
Chief
Minister
Oommen
Chandy,
is
an
indecent
person.
Ganesh
Kumar
said
that
Vinayakan
committed
a
regrettable
and
disgraceful
act
and
that
individuals
like
him
should
not
be
associated
with
artists
but
rather
with
drunk
people
lying
on
the
road.
The
culture
of
a
person
who
utters
such
words
is
deeply
disappointing.
Oommen
Chandy
was
known
for
helping
anyone,
regardless
of
party
politics.
Someone
who
contributes
nothing
to
society
has
no
authority
to
speak
against
him.
Oommen
Chandy's
children's
dignified
stance
led
them
to
refrain
from
filing
a
case
against
Vinayakan.
However,
KB
Ganesh
Kumar
advocated
for
police
or
court
intervention
to
ensure
accountability
for
such
actions.
Ganesh
Kumar
made
these
remarks
in
an
interview
with
a
YouTube
channel.
K.
B.
Ganesh
Kumar's
statement:
"Vinayak's
remark
is
deeply
regrettable
and
brings
shame
to
Kerala
society.
It
reflects
the
true
character
of
an
individual.
Our
Indian
culture,
particularly
in
Kerala,
values
the
deceased
as
much
as
the
living.
As
Malayalis,
we
show
respect
to
all
beings,
even
picking
up
and
burying
a
dead
animal
with
dignity.
This
remark
is
utterly
disgraceful.
Oommen
Chandy,
a
dedicated
public
servant,
has
done
numerous
remarkable
deeds
for
the
poor,
irrespective
of
party
politics.
One
lacking
value
to
society
has
no
grounds
or
authority
to
pass
jjudgementon
him.
Such
behavior
can
only
be
exhibited
by
an
uncultured
individual.
As
a
society,
we
must
distance
ourselves
from
those
who
utter
indecent
words
under
the
influence
of
alcohol
or
drugs.
Such
language
is
disrespectful
and
offensive.
Using
terms
like
'Chathu'
to
describe
the
passing
of
a
person
is
a
clear
reflection
of
one's
lack
of
decency.
Individuals
who
engage
in
such
behaviour
should
be
appropriately
disciplined.
Film-related
organisations
should
step
forward
to
address
this
matter.
The
focus
should
not
solely
be
on
whether
Oommen
Chandy's
family
has
lodged
a
complaint.
The
police
should
proactively
file
a
case
against
such
individuals
lacking
cultural
sensitivity.
Those
who
resort
to
derogatory
remarks
on
social
media
must
face
appropriate
consequences
and
be
held
accountable.
In
the
event
the
police
fail
to
file
a
case,
the
esteemed
court
should
step
in
and
initiate
appropriate
legal
action.
Oommen
Chandy,
a
revered
public
servant
who
has
served
as
Chief
Minister
twice
and
is
adored
by
the
people
of
Kerala,
should
not
be
subjected
to
abusive
remarks
from
someone
like
Vinayakan.
Oommen
Chandy's
commendable
actions,
including
saving
numerous
lives
by
aiding
those
stranded
abroad
or
caught
in
jail
abroad
through
the
arrangement
of
'Blood
Money,'
deserve
the
utmost
respect
and
gratitude.
Undoubtedly,
some
individuals
have
a
propensity
to
belittle
those
who
hold
significant
positions
in
society
and
make
loud,
disrespectful
proclamations.
Swift
action
should
be
taken
against
such
individuals,
and
they
should
be
held
accountable
for
their
actions.
Their
lack
of
commitment
and
pursuit
of
pleasure
and
intoxication
render
their
opinions
worthless.
People
who
refer
to
their
own
father
with
derogatory
terms
like
"dead
dog" or
"dead
cat"
should
not
be
relied
upon
for
anything
positive.
In
Kerala,
we
have
had
cultural
icons
like
Sukumar
Azhikode.
M.T.
Vasudevan
Nair
and
T.
Padmanabhan
live
here,
whose
contributions
are
cherished.
It's
essential
not
to
mistakenly
elevate
individuals
like
Vinayakan
to
the
status
of
cultural
heroes
among
such
literary
giants
and
prominent
personalities.
Instead,
they
should
be
considered
alongside
drunken
individuals
lying
on
the
road
and
not
regarded
as
gentlemen.
Regardless
of
party
affiliation,
insulting
any
public
servant,
even
a
local
political
leader,
is
unacceptable.
These
individuals
fail
to
comprehend
the
positive
impact
politicians
can
have
on
the
less
fortunate.
They
live
in
a
dreamlike
world
within
their
glass
castles,
but
eventually,
reality
will
catch
up
with
them.
Throughout
my
long
experience
in
the
film
industry,
I've
encountered
numerous
such
individuals,
and
they
have
all
eventually
faded
away.
This
behaviour
has
no
place
in
the
cinema
or
the
cultural
scene
of
Kerala.
Film
organisations
must
take
strict
action
against
them.
No
one
is
authorised
to
abuse
others,
be
it
Oommen
Chandy
today
or
anyone
else
tomorrow.
Those
handling
social
media
should
do
so
responsibly,
and
the
media
should
address
such
unsavoury
characters
appropriately.
Previously,
he
had
behaved
inappropriately
with
a
female
journalist.
We
cannot
dismiss
this
as
inconsequential;
it
will
only
lead
to
a
rise
in
such
unacceptable
behaviour.
As
members
of
society,
we
must
show
respect
to
women
and
all
individuals.
His
claims
of
being
that
way
do
not
excuse
his
actions;
it's
another
affliction.
These
individuals
are
encouraged
by
those
who
wish
to
see
destruction
all
around.
Their
happiness
seems
to
come
from
the
country's
downfall.
In
Malayalam,
we
have
a
term
called
'Anthassillathavar'
for
such
people.
What
gives
him
the
right
to
abuse
a
public
servant
who
has
served
the
people?
How
many
lives
has
he
positively
impacted?
Although
Oommen
Chandy's
children
chose
not
to
file
a
case
due
to
their
politeness,
I
believe
a
case
should
be
filed
against
such
disrespectful
individuals.
People
with
foul
minds
should
face
appropriate
consequences.
In
the
movie
Yavanika,
Mammootty's
character
reminds
Ashokan
that
every
name
is
God's
name,
and
there's
no
meaning
in
having
God's
name
if
someone
behaves
dishonourably.
Despite
being
in
opposition
to
the
late
Oommen
Chandy
Politically,
Vinayakan's
remark
hurt
me
deeply.
When
a
great
man
passes
away,
it
brings
immense
grief
to
everyone,
and
yet
this
man
chose
to
insult
him."
