The
announcement
was
to
be
made
by
Minister
of
Culture
Saji
Cherian
at
11
a.m.
on
July
19
in
Thiruvananthapuram.
The
declaration
ceremony
has
been
postponed
as
three
days
of
official
mourning
have
been
declared
in
the
state
following
the
death
of
former
Chief
Minister
Oommen
Chandy.
As
of
now
the
new
date
for
the
declaration
of
awards
hasn't
been
decided.
Usually,
all
Malayalam
Television
news
channels
will
broadcast
the
award
announcement
live.
Additionally,
the
live
event
will
be
accessible
on
the
Facebook
pages
of
both
the
Kerala
State
Chalachitra
Academy
and
the
Minister
of
Culture,
Saji
Cherian.
While
discussions
revolve
around
various
categories,
the
spotlight
shines
brightest
on
the
Best
Actor,
Best
Film,
and
Best
Director
races.
In
2022,
several
actors
delivered
exceptional
performances
in
remarkable
films.
According
to
reports,
Mammootty
and
Kunchacko
Boban
are
the
main
contenders
for
the
best
actor
award.
In

Mammootty

outstanding
films:

the
psychological

"Puzhu," Luke

the

James/Sundaram
in
Lijo

Mammootty's

films,

eight
children's
films,

considered
for
the
awards.

screenings

two
preliminary
juries
selected
42
films
for
the
second
round.

awards

from

in
the
