King of Kotha Steals The Spotlight In Entertainment Scene: The much-awaited Malayalam gangster movie "King of Kotha" is making waves in the entertainment world.
Set to hit the screens during the festive Onam season of 2023, precisely on August 24th, the film is the creation of debutant director Abhilash Joshiy. Backed by the collaboration of Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios, this upcoming cinematic venture is creating quite a buzz.

Dulquer Salmaan, affectionately known as DQ, is no stranger to the limelight. As the son of legendary actor Mammootty, he's been a prominent figure in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema. His versatility as an actor has shone through in various languages, and he's carved a niche for himself by choosing diverse and engaging scripts.
Having built an impressive reputation with films like "Kurup," "Sita Ramam," and "Chup: Revenge of the Artist," Dulquer Salmaan continues to soar to new heights of success. Recent reports suggest that he's commanding a hefty fee of 3 to 8 crore rupees per movie. Interestingly, in "King of Kotha," Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films holds a production role, implying a direct stake in the film's profitability.
The excitement around "King of Kotha" doesn't stop there. The film has made headlines for its colossal budget, reportedly standing at a staggering Rs. 50 Crore, making it the highest-budget Malayalam movie to date.
This hefty investment was allocated Rs. 10 Crore for printing and Advertising Costs, while the remaining Rs. 40 crore was dedicated to the Production Budget. Notably, Aishwarya Lekshmi, one of the lead actresses in the movie, is rumoured to be earning between Rs. 70 Lakh and Rs. 1 Crore for her role.
