The loss has left many in the industry sharing cherished memories of their dear friend. Yesterday, Sudhi's funeral took place, leaving his family devastated. A heart-wrenching video of his wife Renu talking to Sudhi's lifeless body before the funeral has brought tears to the eyes of Malayalis.
Amidst the funeral services, Renu stood by Sudhi's side, speaking to him at length and offering comfort and reassurance. Those around her were at a loss for words to console her, and the poignant moment moved witnesses to tears.
The tragic accident that claimed Kollam Sudhi's life occurred on Monday morning. The incident took place in Kaypamangalam, Panambikkunnu, around 4:30 a.m. when the car carrying the group collided with an oncoming pickup. Sudhi sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Kodungallur AR Hospital, but unfortunately, his life could not be saved. Binu Adimali, Ullas Arur, and Mahesh were also injured in the accident.
Binu Adimali and Ullas Arur are currently receiving treatment at the Ernakulam Medical Trust Hospital. Mahesh Kunjumon, known for his impeccable mimicry skills, was admitted to Amrita Hospital for specialised treatment due to facial injuries and broken teeth. Binu Adimali is now out of danger, while Ullas is undergoing treatment for a fractured bone.
Mahesh Kunjumon To Undergo Surgery After Fatal Accident
Meanwhile, Mahesh, who is currently receiving intensive care at Kochi Amrita Hospital, will undergo a nine-hour surgery today to address his facial and dental injuries. Friends have requested prayers for Mahesh's successful surgery and recovery.
Both Kollam Sudhi and Mahesh Kunjumon have garnered a significant following in the mimicry art community. Mahesh gained popularity for his viral video imitating the voice of Pinarayi Vijayan during the COVID-19 pandemic, astonishing viewers with his vocal precision. His talent also led him to lend his voice to seven characters in the Malayalam version of the movie 'Vikram', earning accolades in the film industry.
